Our weight loss programme powered by the revolutionary Saxenda Injection Pen.
Saxenda is an appetite suppressant and contains a drug called Liraglutide which is a copy of a naturally occurring chemical in the body. This chemical is usually released by the body half way through a meal to make you feel full and satisfied. It is thought, people who suffer from obesity do not produce very much of this chemical, have less feeling of fullness and continue to eat longer than they should.
To use the Saxenda Injection Pen, the patient will inject themselves daily into the thigh, abdomen or upper arm with a super fine pen needle just under the surface of the skin. By boosting the levels of Liraglutide in the body every day, the patient feels a lot fuller, sooner, when they start to eat a meal.
This is a private programme not funded by the NHS. To be eligible to use Saxenda you must have a BMI of over 30 or have a BMI over 27 and also have weight related medical problems such as high blood pressure, diabetes, sleep apnoea etc.
